Destiny 2’s Curse of Osiris expansion gets a launch date and a trailer with some very ominous plot exposition

New story stuff! New destinations! New loots! New things to do! New excuses not to vacuum the house on a Saturday morning! All this – oooooh, “and more”, apparently – are included in Destiny 2’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris, coming just in time for the holidays.

Revealed at Sony’s Paris Games Week conference last night, the expansion deals with a Vex invasion on Mercury (YES, VEX!) and Osiris, the guy you probably already know from the Trials of Osiris and according to Ikora Rey “the most notorious Guardian in Vanguard history”. So I’m guessing he’s one of those ambiguous anti-hero types with murky motivations who helps you anyway because it serves his own questionable purposes in some way that’s never actually even properly resolved. And what’s up with the Egyptian fetish gear?

It’s out on 5 December on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
