Sea of Thieves is about to head into the final pre-release testing phase, and everyone’s invited
It feels like Sea of Thieves has been a work-in-progress for forever, but Rare is wrapping up the technical alpha at last with one final phase of testing. If you’ve been eager to get your hands on one of the few big Xbox One exclusives, you’ll be glad to know that the final pre-release testing phase is open to anyone who has signed up for the Sea of Thieves’ Insider Programme.
If you haven’t signed up yet, you have until 1 December to do so. You’ll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so you can’t go tweeting madly about your rampant piracy. Also, if you’re under 18, you’ll have to sit this one out, as detailed in the Insider Programme FAQ.
Rare’s open approach to testing is bound to yield positive results, which Microsoft is banking on to shift Xbox One consoles through 2018.
