Sony has announced the first batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers for 2018, sending you into the new year with some cyber-stealth augmented infiltration action, a bit of poncing around on rooftops in a cape, and more.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the star of the show for January. Adam Jensen’s adventure into the depths of dystopian cyberpunk subterfuge is an adventure that is worth experiencing, so if you’ve somehow missed the Deus Ex franchise so far, here’s your chance. Telltale’s stylish take on the story of the Dark Knight is up next, with the episodic Batman: The Telltale Series. I’m a sucker for Telltale stuff, and this one ranks up there with the developer’s best work.

PS VR owners can enjoy something called Starblood Arena, which has shooting, explosions and arenas, and I’ll be honest, I actually forgot I was watching the trailer while I was still watching it, so it’s clearly not my kind of game, but hey, it might be right up your alley. Check out the PlayStation blog for more.

Rounding off your list of freebies, we’ve got a few PS3 titles and a couple of PS Vita numbers too:

  • Sacred 3, PS3
  • The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, PS3
  • Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Uncanny Valley, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
