The long-suffering Halo TV show is still happening, so please all pretend that you care so that it actually happens

We’ve been promised a proper Halo TV series for years now. Spielberg was meant to be at the helm, remember? That was a long time ago. The Halo TV series was talked about as the show du jour at the same time as Frozen was on the circuit. Remember Frozen? I ‘member. And I remember the planned Halo television series. And I won’t let it go. And neither will Showtime. Damn, I worked hard for that segue.

You may have lost hope, but the show is “still in very active development,” according to Showtime President and CEO David Nevins, talking to TV Guide Magazine. Showtime president of programming, Gary Levine, was equally upbeat, confirming that the the Halo series “is absolutely still in development, still moving forward.”

“It’s still live action, and it will definitely satisfy the fans of Halo and I think also satisfy the drama audiences of Showtime,” added Levine. Vague enough for y’all? So, the bottom line here is that the Halo series is still in production, somewhere, by someone. You can file this under “slow news day.”

Here’s a Halo-themed EDM track to get you all in the mood. See, this is what happens when I’m left to write news late at night.
