Crackdown, The Witcher 2, Fable, and more Xbox 360 games have been enhanced for Xbox One X

Microsoft has expanded its list of Xbox 360 backwards-compatible games with razzle-dazzle “enhanced” support on the Xbox One X console, so you can get hyped to replay them and then realise they actually look kind of the same as you remember, though, because nostalgia is sneaky like that.

Up to 11 games now, with more presumably already in the works, the list includes:

  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Crackdown
  • Fable Anniversary
  • Fallout 3
  • Forza Horizon
  • Gears of War 3
  • Halo 3
  • Mirror’s Edge
  • Oblivion
  • Skate 3
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

What’s perhaps most interesting about backwards-compatible games like this on Xbox One X, however, is that the enhanced versions feature an option to decide whether to boost the game’s graphics or performance. Increased resolution, revamped textures, and anti-aliasing, or a zillion frames per second, it’s up to you.
