With Rage 2 now confirmed for realsies, it also turns out, somewhat unexpectedly, that original game developer id Software has teamed up with Swedish studio Avalanche for the sequel and the (next) end of the world. The choice, perhaps, isn’t so unexpected. Avalanche’s previous projects include Just Cause and Mad Max, so it knows what’s what with open world chaos sims. And Rage was already more or less a Mad Max game, so that too.
Rage 2 will be out on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and a proper gameplay trailer is launching sometime today.
