Fortnite player kills 48 people watching a missile launch

Over the weekend, Fortnite hosted its debut one-time event, launching a missile into space to open up some sort of dimensional rift. Not wanting to miss it forever, most players observed a temporary truce, coordinating their efforts to build a viewing platform and enjoy the spectacle as a community.

But not Elemental_Ray.

Deciding instead to exploit the situation and become an instant Fortnite supervillain, this guy busted the viewing platform and clocked up 48 kills – a new solo record in the game, and a substantial boost on his previously somewhat unimpressive career score of 0.47 K/D, and zero wins.

Inevitably, this has prompted some controversy among other players, but they’re probably mad they didn’t think of it first.
