Far Cry 5’s Lost on Mars DLC launching in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…

Ubisoft’s chaos-and-killer-turkeys sim is prepping to blast off into spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace next week, with the second of three planned expansions and a new alien threat to the universe.

It’s a bug hunt.

Dropping on 17 July, Lost on Mars features the zany sci-fi misadventures of Hope County residents and ray-guns-for-hire Nick Rye and Hurk on a mission to save an AI “who represents humanity’s last line of defence” against some cosmic spider things. The DLC adds jetpacks and an appropriately ludicrous box of new toys to its sandbox, including the Blaster of Disaster, Obliteratorrrr, and Taser Phazer Annihilazer, which will also apparently be available in the base game campaign and the Far Cry Arcade.

Lost on Mars is part of the Far Cry 5 season pass content, but will also be sold separately.
