This Week In Gaming [Video Roundup]

Greetings NAGoonials, and thanks for coming back for This Week In Gaming. I spent the weekend in the barren wasteland of Bronkhorstspruit, but I made it back just in time to catch you up on, among other things, the insane Doom Eternal reveal. Check it out after the jump.

This week the biggest eyeful of Read Dead Redemption II gameplay so far, check it out:

Unavowed is a brand new point-and-click adventure game, which boasts an ambitious story and a proven team. Also, can I just say how glad I am people are still making these?

Monster Hunter World requires some monster hardware, with the Xbox One struggling to get 30-40fps on the “prefer graphics options”. For PC players however, here are the best settings to tweak for max performance.

Ahead of the elusive Shenmue 3, Shenmue 1 and 2 will be making their way to PC in remastered form. If, like me, you don’t know what the hell Shenmue even is, these videos may help.

Black Ops 4 showed off some multiplayer action in this beta preview, streamed this week.

Alright I’ll admit, I buried the lede here – if you watch just one thing this week, watch this insane Doom Eternal footage.

It was only a matter of time – Battle Royale on VR.

Forsaken Remastered launched a couple of weeks ago on Steam. If you’ve never heard of it – think Descent, the old-school “six degrees of freedom” shooter that has you navigating tight tunnels and structures. I stumbled across this retro look at the genre and Forsaken itself, and found it well worth a nostalgic watch.

Finally, check out these sweet entrants to the DotA 2 short film contest.
