Battlefield 5 release date has been shifted into November
EA DICE has announced that this year’s entry in the Battlefield franchise won’t be landing in time for its October release target, and will now be hitting store shelves a month later.
“We’re going to take the time to continue to make some final adjustments to core gameplay, and to ensure we really deliver on the potential of Tides of War,” said Oskar Gabrielson, General Manager of DICE in his official statement explaining the delay.
“We believe we have one of the best Battlefield games ever on our hands. A game that will deliver on an emotional journey through the return of unseen single player War Stories, a deep multiplayer experience, Battle Royale, along with our new live service, Tides of War – a journey across multiple theaters of WW2 and designed to keep our community together.”
Obviously there is no mention of the fact that the October release would have seen Battlefield 5 going up against Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for your hard earned cash. Still, whatever the reasons, if an extra month on the workbench results in an improved Battlefield experience, I’m down that.
