Giblets: Microsoft is buying Obsidian Entertainment, apparently

That’s according to anonymous, unconfirmed sources, anyway, who told Kotaku that Microsoft is finishing up on a deal to acquire the Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity developer. It’s not an entirely implausible contingency, however, given the publisher’s recent investment in Ninja Theory, Playground Games, Undead Labs, and Compulsion Games, and the opening of its own new first-party studio, The Initiative. Nobody else at Obsidian is talking for the moment, however, except to remind us that “the Rumors album by Fleetwood Mac still holds up”. It does.
