A Black Panther sequel is already in the works

But I think the actual story here is that, despite, you know, that thing that happened at the end of The Avengers: Infinity War, T’Challa isn’t dead. Or maybe he is dead, but he’ll be resurrected somehow. Or… or he’s a zombie. Whatever, Wakanda forever.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther director and writer Ryan Coogler has signed a deal to direct and write the next movie, which isn’t exactly unexpected given the first film’s box office busting $1.3 billion cash profits for Marvel and Disney. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, like. I want to assume this means Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, and Letitia Wright will also feature next to Chadwick Boseman, because they were the real heroes of Black Panther, don’t @ me.

The sequel will apparently start production sometime in 2019 or 2020.
