December’s PS Plus games include some existential dread and body horror just in time for the holiday season

Because the prospect of family lunch with your creepy uncle, your crazy aunt, your 63-year old dad’s 21-year old new girlfriend and her teacup chihauhau, and your cousin who’s just graduated medical school and why can’t you be more like them, and gorging on too much gammon (again) to make up for it wasn’t enough. Merry Christmas.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent studio Frictional Games’ subaquatic sci-fi survive-’em-up Soma is gonna jingle some bells, while Codemasters’ zany destruction derby racer Onrush dashes through the snow. Also along for the ride on the one-horse open sleigh are hyperspeed space blaster Steredenn, time travel visual novel Steins;Gate, eccentric platform-puzzler Iconoclasts, and indie immigration bureaucracy sim Papers, Please.

Or, in convenient naughty and nice list format:

  • Soma (PS4)
  • Onrush (PS4)
  • Steredenn (PS3)
  • Steins;Gate (PS3)
  • Iconoclasts (PS Vita with Cross Buy on PS4)
  • Papers, Please (PS Vita)

All games will be available from 4 December until 1 January.
