That’s according to a weekend of rumours and speculation started by esports guy Rod Breslau, who tweeted on Saturday that the developer would be simultaneously announcing and launching the game on Monday on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. According to Breslau, Apex Legends is a free-to-play, class-based battle royale game with some Titanfall mixed in, a claim backed up by Kotaku’s industry spies.
What Respawn boss Vince Zampella has since confirmed is that Apex Legends is for reals, and “everything” else will be explained on Twitch, with a debut stream scheduled for 18:00 local time tonight.
Looks like everything is unlocked now? Fun.
So, if you like Respawn, our games or even me, you should tune in tomorrow. Our stream starts at 8am pt and we’ll tell you everything about Apex Legends. Everything. https://t.co/P0Svi1h5VS
