Telltale’s legacy comes to a shambling end with upcoming final episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season

You must have heard by now that Telltale Games is gone for good, taking our dreams of a sequel to The Wolf Among Us and many other titles down with it. Only one survived, with The Walking Dead: The Final Season taking shelter from the purge at kindly neighbouring studio: Skybound Games.

Well they couldn’t hide forever, and supplies are running out, so the Walking Dead’s end is nigh. The final episode in Clementine’s story is due on 26 March. Along with Episode 4, the entire final season will be boxed together for a physical release on the same day for consoles. So you can hold it in your very paws if you so desire.

And what of Skybound Games? It made sense for them to rescue the Walking Dead as Skybound Entertainment is the home of the comic series on which the game is based, but they’ve also got their own thing going on. It is unclear what will happen to the team, made up largely of ex-Telltale employees, who worked on The Walking Dead: The Final Season, but let’s hope for the best or, at least, a clean death.

Episode 4 of The Walking Dead: The Final Season is out 26 March 2019 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
