Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Respawn will debut Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in April

The Apex Legends and Titanfall studio is prepping to reveal its new Star Wars game at the annual Star Wars Celebration expo on 13 April, publisher EA has confirmed. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been in development since 2016, with its first proper announcement at E3 2018. Until now, however, there’s not been much else to go on besides the kind of drab description on the game’s website.

From Respawn Entertainment comes a brand-new action adventure game which tells an original Star Wars story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

That’s more or less about the same time as the anthology movies Rogue One and Solo, the two Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games, and probably about a million other novels, comics, TV shows, and whatever else – but without more info, it’s impossible to guess what we can expect from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Except lightsaber duels. We can totally expect lightsaber duels. And some crying about the younglings, maybe.

According to EA, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is one of “a galaxy of games” coming to the Star Wars Celebration, but with the Visceral’s project cancelled, I dunno what else is even in the works. I want a new pod racer game, though.
