Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remaster

Activision could be giving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 the remaster treatment

PEGI is such a little snitch, often revealing upcoming projects long before they have become officially announced. The latest proverbial cat to be let out of the proverbial bag is a remaster of Infinity Ward’s quite brilliant Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, although signs point to it covering the single player campaign only, eschewing the genre defining multiplayer component.

The PS4 listing, picked up by the kind of people who make it their business to snoop around for such tidbits, and reported on by Gematsu, has since been removed – understandably, because you can imagine that publisher Activision would have been dead keen to reveal the game with the usual onslaught of hype mongering and marketing fireworks instead.

People lost their minds when the original Modern Warfare remaster was made available only as part of a bundle with that year’s Call of Duty release, but I reckon there’s a good chance we can expect that to be the plan this time around again.
