This rainbow Xbox One controller doesn’t even exist so people obviously have feelings about it anyway

A tweet supporting the 2019 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras over the weekend has turned into a crowd sourcing opportunity as Xbox Australia realises just how many people really, really want a rainbow coloured controller.

The tweet shows an Xbox One controller that doesn’t actually exist, as it was merely a symbol of their support for the LGBTQIA community on the day of the Mardi Gras, but that hasn’t stopped some people from wishing it were real (nor others from whining about it for somehow threatening their fragile sense of sexuality with its many tricksy hues).

Some have even suggested it should be thermochromatic; changing colour with the heat of the player’s hands. I would be down with this. What do you think?

In other, Mardi Gras-related, news, Square Enix became the first video game developer ever to directly take part in the parade, with a float for Final Fantasy XIV. The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras has been taking place in the city for 41 years. It’s kind of a big, fabulous deal.

Now you can stream PC games to your Xbox One
