The Season of the Drifter has come to Destiny 2 so it’s time to get the Guardian gang back together

Bungie is stepping out for the first time since the split with Activision and, like, they don’t even care if Activision is even at the party, they’re just here to kick it with their squad.

The Season of the Drifter is upon us, the second season of three for Destiny 2: Forsaken, taking place from 5 March to 6 May, and there’s a little somethin’ somethin’ for everyone. There’s new stuff to do, new things to learn, and new rewards to earn to make you even more of a death machine than you already are.

If you bought the Annual Pass, you have access to new activities: Gambit Prime and The Reckoning. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn a bunch of new gear and weapons. If you drifted away from Destiny in the past few months, and are feeling a little inadequate, with the Annual Pass you get the option to take some Power Surge Bounties from the Drifter that will help level 50 characters rapidly raise their power level right up to 640.

If you didn’t opt for the Annual Pass, you still get to take part in special occasion events, such as The Revelry and Arc Week, towards the end of the season.

The Season of the Drifter will be followed by the Season of Opulence, from June, with more details on that to follow.
