You, you need to leave the house. I don’t know what Vacation Simulator is for, exactly, but I do know that it’s coming to Oculus and SteamVR, and that it makes me sad.
Maybe this serves a niche I am not part of, such as those who cannot physically leave their house due to troublesome medical concerns or plain old, garden variety, misanthropy. Even then, you probably have better things to do. Just go torment your Sims with a labyrinthine house of horrors, like a normal person.
Brought to you by Owlchemy Labs, Vacation Simulator allows you to spend your valuable time on a virtual reality beach, forest, or snowy mountain “holiday”. You can even go shopping and eat all you want! The calories are empty, just like your life.
This development team was also behind Job Simulator, which apparently did quite well, so maybe I shouldn’t mock the appeal of mindless fun, but I’m going to anyway.
Vacation Simulator is set for release on 9 April 2019, for Oculus and Steam VR, with a PlayStation VR release later in the year.
