The end of the world is very nigh in this new Good Omens trailer

Amazon Prime has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming six-episode TV adaptation of Good Omens, the charmingly irreverent, buddy-(bible)-cop novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett about an angel and a demon who must team up to postpone the Apocalypse when an admin mixup in a small-town English maternity ward results in the Antichrist going missing. AWKWARD.

The show’s ensemble cast includes Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and David Tennant as Crowley, ambassadors of Heaven and Hell respectively, with co-stars Jon Hamm, Anna Maxwell Martin, Josie Lawrence, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, and Nick Offerman, and Neil Gaiman is attached to the project as writer so you know it’s going to be a faithful interpretation of the original book. Faithful. Get it? Because it’s about religious things, lol. I’m here all week.

Good Omens debuts on 31 May.
