EverQuest is 20 years old and celebrating with gnomes

EverQuest has been around for 20 years, so, while you contemplate how ancient you are, how about dusting off your old char and celebrating with a new zone – Gnome Memorial Mountain.

The grand daddy of 3D MMORPGs, EverQuest came out in 1999 and has had 25 expansions and countless updates since. It sold over 3 million copies worldwide and people are still playing it. Not a lot, but some.

If you’re one of those people, the special anniversary event is called “Preserving the Past” and contains a new zone, quests, collections, and raids for players level 95 and up. Gnome Memorial Mountain contains 11 quests, two heroic adventures, and one mission. There also 21 new achievements to earn and four new collections to complete.

You will be joining forces with the mechanical gnomelikes to defend their mountain home from the bloodmoon orc tribe and the Iron Legion defectors. Explore the new zone and hack, slash, or fireball your way through your new enemies with wild abandon.

EverQuest’s 20th anniversary celebrations begin 16 March 2019.
