Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is actually going to launch next month, for reals this time

Originally funded on Kickstarter with $5.5 million pledge-munnies in 2015 and expected to launch in 2017, then 2018, and then who even knew between Wii U and PS Vita cancellations, Koji Igarashi’s not-Castlevania is finished and uploading to the printers.

The game will be out on 18 June on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and 25 June on Nintendo Switch, publisher 505 Games has confirmed, and as a sort of consolation prize for the wait it also features a dramatic makeover from previous versions.

“With the support of the Bloodstained community, 505 Games and ArtPlay have taken the extra time and care to ensure they’re doing things RIGHT,” the new trailer’s blurb explains. “Check out some before and after comparisons in this new video to see all the hard work they’ve poured into Bloodstained over the last year.”
