The circus is back in town in It: Chapter Two

The first teaser trailer for New Line Cinema and Andrés Muschietti’s It: Chapter Two has floated out of the sewers, and the kids have grown up, maybe, but there’s definitely something under the bed.

The second of the two-part reboot introduces Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) as Beverly Marsh and James McAvoy (Split, X-Men) as Bill Denbrough, with Bill Hader (Saturday Night Light) as Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan (Mary Kills People) as Ben Hanscom, James Ransone (The Wire) as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Andy Bean (Allegiant) as Stanley Uris, and Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown and local balloon distributor.

Now 27 years after the events of the first movie, the Losers’ Club must reunite in Derry to deal with Pennywise (again), but this time for reals. Although both It: Chapter One and the 1990 movie adaptation featured some significant divergences from the original novel, director Muschietti has confirmed that It: Chapter Two will include Maturin the space-turtle. So, expect things to get super weird and… spidery.
