Someone tried to dropkick the muscly android from the future Arnold Schwarzenegger during his Arnold Classic Festival sports event here in South Africa last Saturday. I honestly didn’t believe it either, but thankfully the culprit failed miserably and has since been arrested.
The event, which took place at the Sandton Convention Center, was rife with confusion as Arnold was attacked by the mysterious man while addressing some of his fans. The footage shows the culprit sprinting towards him and landing his dropkick on the former California governor’s back, knocking him slightly forward but not dropping him.
It goes without saying that South African Twitter was outraged, calling for the man to be brought to justice. Many showed their disgust and disappointment, putting forward their best wishes and deepest regrets to Mr Schwarzenegger. Funnily and unsurprisingly enough though, Arnold took to Twitter and expressed that he didn’t even realise that he had been attacked.
Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.
Needless to say, security clearly wasn’t tight enough and as a result, they didn’t have Arnold’s back. See what I did there? Honestly, though this probably sounds like the craziest thing that’s happened so far, it most likely won’t be the last.
