Journey is launching on PC next week

After seven years, Thatgamecompany’s critically-acclaimed PlayStation exclusive is coming out on PC on 6 June. Journey is quite possibly one of the most beautiful experiences to ever grace our unworthy planet, so this is a big deal.

That’s the good news. The maybe not so good news for some of you (and you know who you are) is that it’s being sold exclusively on the Epic Store for $14.99. If that price is a bit steep, here’s a protip – Epic is having a sale until 13 June, with $10 off of any game that’s priced $14.99 or more. See where I’m going with this? Do all the complicated maths and voila, Journey will cost $4.99 for a week after its launch. That is a steal – even I’d feel like a criminal for buying it at the price.

If you’re unfamiliar with Journey, repent immediately. The game follows a mysterious cloaked wanderer that travels through the desert towards a distant mountain while uncovering the secrets of a lost civilisation. As you glide across the desert sand, you’ll discover gorgeous scenery, ruins and creatures beyond your wildest imagination. That’s as much as I can say without spoiling the experience too much.

The game will support 4K resolutions, so you can soak in all of that desert beauty. Journey isn’t just a game however, it’s a masterpiece. Set a reminder and get your wallet ready, you’ll thank us later.
