Enhanced console editions of classic PC RPGs available from September

It’s not Baldur’s Gate III, but you can get the enhanced console editions of these RPG classics from September

Those enhanced console editions of Baldur’s Gate, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights have release dates, so soon you’ll be able to remind yourself why you’re waiting for Baldur’s Gate III.

We mentioned, back in February, that Skybound Games and Beamdog had teamed up to bring the enhanced editions of several classic PC RPGs to consoles, and now we know when you can get a hold of them. You can get the enhanced editions of Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II, Planescape: Torment, and Icewind Dale from 27 September, and Neverwinter Nights from 6 December.

The games come packaged with all their expansions and DLC, with some new and updated content added, such as previously cut quest content, new companions, and new character options – all in shiny HD with reworked, console-ready interfaces. The Planescape and Neverwinter sets also support co-op multiplayer, so get ready to relive the magic with your friends. You’ve still got friends, right?

All of the enhanced editions will be available as digital and physical releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
