Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press conference may not have featured Keanu Reeves, but they did get an actual dog on stage, which is probably actually better when you consider the state of the internet.
Also, they talked about their new games and stuff, but whatever. DOG.
Jon Bernthal one-upped Keanu by bringing his goodest boy on stage
Jon Bernthal (the best Punisher) plays the villain, Walker, in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Walker does not appear to own a dog in the game, but Bernthal sure does, and brought him on stage as some sort of middle finger to Xbox for deploying Keanu Reeves, patron saint of doggos.
I didn’t think I could love Jon Bernthal more, but there you go. I’m sure Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is good too. It comes out 4 October for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey choose your own adventure mode
If you’re an RPG fan then you’re going to love the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey story editor. No more waiting for the developers to come up with new content, just make your own.
Get deep into the mechanics of story creation, write your own dialogue, play out your favourite fanfic, put your D&D campaign into the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey world, do all the things, and then share it so we can all judge you.
You can even do it right now, because it’s ready to go in a free open beta. Who needs productivity, anyway?
Watch Dogs Legion predicts the future of post-Brexit London
If the Danny Boylesian trailer wasn’t enough to get you intrigued about this, then I’m afraid I can’t talk to you anymore. Watch Dogs Legion lets you recruit pretty much anyone in the game to the cause of unfucking London and that, friends, looks like a ridiculous amount of fun. Granny army, assemble!
Watch Dogs Legion will be out 6 March 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Free-to-play roller derby game
Roller Champions is a free-to-play, multiplayer roller derby game set in a future where roller derby isn’t a brutal, blood-soaked, elbow-fest. It looks okay.
Roller Champions is launching in early 2020, but you can play the demo until 14 June.
Doing the dirty work for deities in Gods & Monsters
Not entirely sure what this is about, but it involves Greek mythology and looks very pretty. I’m also not sure why gods always seem to need mortal-types to do all their jobs for them.
Gods & Monsters is set for release 25 February 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Another subscription service to add to your collection
Want yet another game subscription service? No? Too bad, because Ubisoft’s UPlay Plus launches on 3 September.
And some more Rainbow Six
Rainbow Six Quarantine will be a three-player co-op, survival FPS spin-off of Rainbow Six Siege. It might be based on the Outbreak mode from Siege, but Ubisoft isn’t ready to tell us yet.
