Hans Zimmer teamed up with BMW to put the BWAAAAHH in your electric car

You don’t have to be much of a music nerd to know who Hans Zimmer is, he’s the score composer behind all sorts of award-winning film soundtracks from The Lion King, to Pirates of the Caribbean, to Inception. If you still don’t know who Hans Zimmer is, I’m not sure why you’re reading this, but you do you.

Zimmer is working with BMW to compose sounds to be used in their upcoming BMW Vision M NEXT (catchy) concept car. Electric vehicles are generally quiet, spooky things, but many people still want their fancy cars to go vroom, and they need to make some sort of noise for safety reasons, so BMW is employing Zimmer to provide that little extra emotional depth to their vroom noises. Sadly, this doesn’t mean you get to cruise the streets to the BWAAAAAAAH from Inception. I know.

Did you hear the emotion?

Before you get too excited, this is a concept car built to show off what BMW intends to do with its vehicles in the future.

Since I will never be able to afford an electric BMW from the future, that may never exist, I will be dialling the Inception score up to 11 in my Fiat Panda (shut up) and pretending I’m cool.
