So you’ve finished all the Witcher games, played all the Gwent you can stomach, maybe created your own extra quests with this quest builder mod, why not get into tabletop Witcher? Did I mention it’s free?
Witcher: Easy Mode is a simplified version of the Witcher tabletop RPG by R. Talsorian Games, the same people that made Cyberpunk 2020. It’s based on the CD Projekt Red universe and lets you play out whatever Witcher-based fantasies you have locked away in that precious head of yours (no judging).
The free version is a 32-page PDF download that introduces you to the world through a simplified rule book, six pre-generated characters, and a ready-to-play adventure scenario for those of you too shy to whip out the fanfic on your first foray. It takes place between The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
This seems like a good deal for anyone who’s been waiting to get into tabletop RPGs, but wasn’t sure if they’ll like it (the Witcher world is pretty accessible even if you’ve never played the games) or those of you on the fence about buying the full version.
