Studio MDHR’s wildly successful and rage-inducing game Cuphead is getting its own TV show called The Cuphead Show!, in collaboration with King Features Syndicate and Netflix. The news comes as no surprise, considering the game’s beautiful art style and the studio’s emphasis on seamlessly smooth animation – now people can enjoy Cuphead without amassing a collection of broken controllers in the process.
Studio MDHR posted the news on Twitter, to the excitement of many fans out there, stating that Netflix Animation’s team will lead the work on producing the cartoon. The show’s executive producers include Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling), Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts), CJ Kettler (The Tick) and of course the Moldenhauer brothers, Jared and Chad. The comedy show will follow Cuphead alongside his brother Mugman and their many misadventures across the Inkwell Isles, according to Netflix’s press release.
