Bethesda continues to drag Fallout 76 out of its crater of disappointment, after being nuked at launch. Now, we’re getting raids and power armour covered in ferns. That’s what the kids are into, right?
Speaking at this year’s QuakeCon, Bethesda revealed a number of updates and features coming to Fallout 76 in the near future. Come 20 August, the first raid ever to grace the Wastelands will be available from Vault 94. This four-player team raid will apparently be puzzle-based with multiple difficulty levels. The higher the difficulty, the greater the rewards.
One such reward is the “potted plant” power armour, which makes you look like you’re covered in moss and ferns and improves your stealth. Seems like you’ll have to repeat the raid a few times to earn the full set, but, once you do, you’ll get extra bonuses. If you can’t finish the raid, you’ll probably still get something, as some rewards drop midway. If you don’t make it to midway, I’m not sure what to tell you.
This isn’t a once-off, Bethesda plans to release a second raid, after the initial one, at a different vault. Aside from raids, Fallout 76 is also getting a new map for Nuclear Winter, private servers, and a Wastelanders dialogue system that resembles Fallout 3.
