Microids and Artefacts Studios have announced that Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is launching this year – a couple of days before the release of Death Stranding, in fact, so Kojima had better be scared. The game will be available on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC.
Garfield Kart: Furious Racing features three game modes, including Grand Prix, Time Trial, and Single Race, with a selection of 16 tracks, all of which take inspiration from the wacky world of Garfield, and multiplayer support for up to four local and eight online. Players can choose between Garfield, Odie, Jon, Nermal, Arlene, Liz, Harry, or Squeak as their character. Each kart and character will have different characteristics that will suit a multitude of different play styles.
Pretty sure nobody asked for this, though. But to be fair, Garfield Kart originally came out in 2013 and currently has a 4.5 rating on Steam, so the devs must be doing something right. We’ll roll with it anyway because it’s Garfield – arguably, we all have a mutual love for lasagna and passionate hate for Mondays.
