Are you watching The Boys?

Because you should be. Based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is a satirical subversion of superhero genre tropes, introducing a world in which superheroes are corporate-branded, syndicated celebrities and (mostly) total assholes.

When his girlfriend is accidentally killed vaporised by local superhero A-Train, tech nerd Hughie Campbell teams up with a covert CIA squad to expose corruption, conspiracy, and other questionable business at superhero marketing and management company Vought International. At the same time, Annie “Starlight” January joins the Seven, Vought International’s most prestigious superhero group, and finds out for herself that being a superhero is… not exactly what she’d expected.

There’s also scene in which a bomb in one guy’s bum explodes.

The Boys is provocative, hilarious, gross, shameless, and outrageously obscene, and it’s out now on Amazon Prime.
