Back in 2017, just after the release of Titanfall II, Respawn Entertainment announced that they were working on a virtual reality game for the Oculus system. Come September, we’ll get a first look at the gameplay at this year’s Oculus Connect conference.
We don’t know much about this new, VR Respawn game and we mostly know what it isn’t. The mystery Oculus exclusive will have nothing to do with Titanfall or Star Wars, so sorry if you had your hopes up for VR mechs. It will be a first-person combat title, though (surprise!). A VR Apex Legends, perhaps? To see what it actually is, you’ll have to wait for September and Oculus Connect 6.
OC6 is the sixth annual Oculus conference, hosted by Facebook, and is basically a big Oculus-o-rama with feedback sessions, talks, and demonstrations. One of which, will be a gameplay demo for Respawn’s new VR title. Don’t worry, if you can’t make it to California, everything is meant to be available to watch online.
