B.R.U.T.E Mech Fortnite

Fortnite’s new robot overlords are absolutely brutal and nobody is happy with this

Introduced in the game’s season 10 update last week, the aptly named B.R.U.T.E Mech has instantly become one of the most disliked additions to Fortnite recently, both by casual and professional players of the game.

Only a handful of B.R.U.T.E Mechs ever spawn on the map every match, so due to their overpowered nature, any player who finds one could most likely spam their way to a Victory Royale. The issue with the mech lies with its missile launcher – if charged, the pilot can release up to ten missiles at the time, resulting in a murderous barrage of explosions that could quickly deal 200 damage. For context, 200 is the game’s maximum health, so it’s fair to say that this new mechanic breaks the game horribly.

Most people would think to destroy the mech the good old fashioned way by shooting it until it explodes. That would be a solid plan if you hadn’t already taken ten missiles to the face and started pushing up daisies after that. As a result, many have called for the mechs to be nerfed or vaulted altogether. Even the world Fortnite champion Bugah got dusted by a B.R.U.T.E once before, and it wasn’t pretty.

So here’s the moral of the story: B.R.U.T.E force isn’t always the answer, unless you’re playing Fortnite.
