ROG Invitational 2019

ASUS announces inaugural ROG Invitational with R150,000 prize pool

This makes it South Africa’s richest short-form Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournament, so you’d better register now if you want a piece of that sweet, sweet prize pool.

Four of South Africa’s elite CS:GO teams, Big 5 Esports, Energy Esports, Goliath Gaming, and Sinister5 CS:GO, will compete for the glory, the honour, and the cash against the top four ranked challengers from the qualification rounds.

If you want in, registration for the online qualifiers opens TODAY through, a leading esports league and tournament operator on the African continent. The round-robin group stage will advance the leaders of each group to the LAN finals in late September. The final eight will then compete in a live, double-elimination showdown under the Ticketpro Dome, between 27 and 29 September, at rAge Expo, where the winner will eventually heft the mighty Republic of Gamers Invitational Trophy in front of 35,000 attendees.

With their continued support, including this inaugural Invitational, ASUS and ROG are hoping “to strengthen the credibility of esports through showcasing not only the exceptional talent and skill that exists in our country but to deliver an experience that really underlines the entertainment value of the sport”.
