Thanks to PAX West 2019, we got a closer look at Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds and what to expect, pretty much cementing the idea that it’s Fallout 5, if the Fallout franchise got a space reboot and relocated its sense of humour.
The Outer Worlds is a player-driven RPG, meaning the game reacts to your choices and play style. There’s still an overarching main mission, but many decisions line the road to completion and making choices is The Outer Worlds’ whole thing. As long as they don’t just boil down to good, bad, and neutral, this should be interesting.
The Outer Worlds launches on 25 October 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. A Nintendo Switch version will appear at a later date.
