Resident Evil Project Resistance

Project Resistance tease turns out to be a Resident Evil-adjacent asymmetrical co-op game

Taking inspiration from Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight, Capcom has developed Project Resistance, an asymmetrical survival game, in the Resident Evil universe, when it seems like fans were hoping for something a little more like Outbreak.

Project Resistance is a 4 vs 1 asymmetrical co-op “experience” that sees four youthful Survivors trying to escape an Umbrella Corp. testing facility while being hampered, at every turn, by the Mastermind. Each Survivor has their own, unique abilities (boys get to hit things, girls get to heal and hack) and the Mastermind monitors the facility from a control room, unleashing monsters, laying traps, and closing doors at inopportune moments, all in the name of science. Also, there’s a timer.

Project Resistance will be going into closed beta testing soon, but the release date has yet to be announced. It will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
