Based on the Werewolf: The Apocalypse tabletop game, Earthblood is an action RPG that sees you skinwalking as Cahal, the moustachioed man-wolf, on a vengequest against the Wyrm-riddled Pentex megacorporation, for destroying his forest home lands. Basically, Fern Gully on roids.
The reveal trailer doesn’t show any of the gameplay, and developer Cyanide Studio (Call of Cthulhu, Styx: Shards of Darkness) haven’t said anything much about how it will work, but it seems like you will only get to play as Cahal who will probably level-up his lycanthropic abilities as he mauls his way through the megacorporation’s minions.
How do all you Werewolf: The Apocalypse fans feel about this? Not that there are many werewolf-related games to compare it to.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is set for release in 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
