Microsoft has laid out the Xbox Games with Gold schedule for the month of November, and it’s a motley crew to say the least, covering a bit of detective work, a retro serving of sci-fi space action, some colourful racing, and a slice of pixelated train-based shenanigans.
First up for Xbox One gamers is Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, an intriguing take on the adventures of everyone’s favourite fictional cocaine-addled detective. Developer Frogware lost the sharper edge of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments for this sequel, I reckon, but it’s still worth a look. You can grab it from 1 November through to the end of the month.
Also available from 1 November is Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, an accomplished sci-fi romp which did was well received back in 2002 on the original Xbox and PlayStation consoles. It’s yours until 15 November, followed by The Final Station – a side-scrolling blend of shooting, exploration, trains, and mysterious things unfolding. You’ll have until midway through Decemeber to add that one to your library.
The November lineup closes off with JoyRide Turbo, a remarkably forgettable kart racer which will be available from 16 November until the end of the month.
And that’s your lot for the penultimate month of 2019.
