One of the PS4’s most critically acclaimed games, the post-apocalyptic robo-dino-’em-up is apparently launching on PC in 2020.
That’s according to Kotaku’s Jason Schrier, who cites “three people familiar with Sony’s plans” for the info, claiming that Horizon Zero Dawn will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store sometime this year. It’s an almost unprecedented decision by Sony, because with only one or two exceptions, its first-party PS4 exclusives tend to remain PS4 exclusives forever. This is also developer Guerrilla Games’ first PC game launch since the original Killzone in 2004, and its acquisition by Sony in 2005.
Horizon Zero Dawn launched on PS4 in 2017, and has been lauded for its unconventional narrative concepts and diversity-level-100-protagonist Aloy, voiced by Ashly Burch. Also, you know, robo-dinos. Everybody loves robo-dinos.
