Nikolaj Coster-Waldau GoT

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau not dead, feels fine

We were all confused by the end of Game of Thrones, but Denmark took it to the extreme, recently, with rumours that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played the flip-flopping Kingslayer, was dead. He’s not, in case you were wondering.

The very-much-alive Coster-Waldau took to his Instagram recently to debunk the rumours of his untimely demise, with rage.

I mean I get that you wanna sell your shit, but that’s just…So, eh, to you who did this, I know you don’t care, but fuck you.

Apparently, the rumour that Coster-Waldau was dead started as a Facebook post (surprise), that attracted almost 1 million likes, but it was then picked up by a number of news sources, in his home country of Denmark, that then started circulating the claims, because random Facebook tribute pages are a legitimate source of news and research is hard.

Death hoaxes are a perpetual feature of the internet, because they’re an easy way to collect all the clicks and people are rubbish. Don’t be rubbish.

Other (as of publication) living celebrities include Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, Morgan Freeman, Dwayne Johnson, and (treasure to the world) Betty White.
