The FPS that launched a thousand FPSes is now available in its shiny new Anniversary form for PC as part of the Master Chief Collection.
The remastered edition of Halo: Combat Evolved features updated graphics, support for 4K and ultra-wide displays, text chat, and customisable key layouts. You’ll also get a 3D model view for customising your Spartan’s look for multiplayer. If you’re feeling extra nostalgic, feel free to swap between the classic and remastered graphics while you play.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary joins Halo: Reach as part of the PC edition of the Master Chief Collection. Entries in the Halo saga are being added to the collection in the order of the story and will eventually include Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST Campaign, and Halo 4. It’s lagging a little behind the Xbox One version of the collection, but it will, apparently, be complete by the end of 2020.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is now available from Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Xbox Game Pass PC (Beta). You can even buy it separately from the Master Chief Collection, if that’s what you’re into.
