Futurama fan Sergey Ilmukhin put a Raspberry Pi Zero W together with some Pocketsphinx speech recognition software, and a bunch of Bender soundbites, to create a smart speaker that mostly hurls Bender-brand abuse at you for asking it things.
It doesn’t connect to the internet, so it can’t tell you anything particularly useful, or share your inner secrets with the world, but it does provide entertainment in these less-than-entertaining times.
If you want to have a go at making one yourself, you can find the custom code on GitHub. The Bender head casing was 3D printed using a design from Thingiverse.
