For the first time ever, South Africa has been invited to participate in Campus Party; a three-day digital conference event connecting young tech innovators from all over the world.
Campus Party Digital Edition takes place over three days, for 24 hours a day, across one Global Main Stage and five topical stages, with more than 50 internationally-renowned keynote speakers all making an effort to get people to work together to identify great, technologically-grounded ideas in response to the myriad challenges that humanity is facing today – particularly in the wake of COVID-19.
The overarching theme for this year’s event is “Reboot the World”; focussing on ways to make it through the climate emergency and what normal will look like in a post-pandemic world. Each topical stage will feature a related topic, namely Green Power, Living Better, Work Life, New Horizons, and Joy of Life, and will include discussions on things like clean energy and environment, health and science, work and economics, education and Smart Cities, and entertainment and creativity.
But this isn’t just about sitting around watching people speak, Campus Party Digital Edition will also include the Global Job Factory; a virtual meeting place for young people to interact with, and potentially get recruited by, representatives of a range of Campus Party partner companies. You’ll also get to learn about the most popular professions around the world, so make it your business to be there if you’re a young person interested in a career in sustainability and technology.
Campus Party Digital Edition will be taking place from 9 to 11 July 2020. Participation is free; just sign up here to get involved.
