Batman: Death in the Family

Batman goes Bandersnatch with interactive animated movie

Does Robin live or die? You decide in upcoming animated movie experience Batman: Death in the Family.

Back in the 80s, DC Comics let readers decide, through free telephonic vote, if Robin (the Jason Todd version) lived or died by the Joker’s hand in the original Death in the Family storyline (SPOILER ALERT: they let him die lol). Now, we’re getting the same story with a futuristic twist, as viewers will be able to make multiple decisions, via remote control, that affect the narrative, leading to several different endings. Something Netflix made popular with its interactive Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

Batman: Death in the Family serves as a sort of re-imagined prequel to 2010’s Batman: Under the Red Hood and will launch on Blu-Ray and streaming services some time around September 2020.
