Based on Polish author Stanisław Lem’s 1964 novel of the same name, The Invincible will have you investigating the disappearance of your space crew. You know how well that usually goes.
Developed by Starward Industries (a Polish game studio made up of former Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, and Dying Light devs), The Invincible is an upcoming first-person, sci-fi thriller set in a retro-futuristic timeline. You play as a scientist on an interstellar scientific expedition, but things go awry (obviously) and you must search for your missing crew on Regis III – a hostile and unwelcoming planet full of terrifying secrets.
And as you delve deeper into the mystery, you realise that perhaps you are not alone, and that some places like this planet are better left untouched. But it’s too late to turn back.
The Invincible features immersive, non-linear gameplay where your decisions, relationships, and persuasive skills matter. All wrapped up in an atompunk aesthetic. It’s like cyberpunk, but with less neon and neural jacks and more bubble domes and spaaaace. If you’re into things like Fallout, you’ll probably be into this.
The Invincible will be out for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation some time in 2021.
