The luscious voice of Jack Black can be heard from a mile away. There’s no way you’d miss it. From cult classics like School of Rock to the Panda that karate chopped his way into our noodle bowls, there’s no denying it’s Jack Black and there’s a guarantee he’s going to break into song at least once.
With his most recent “appearance” in the new Mario movie and his hit song “Peaches”, Jack obviously felt the call of the video game, beckoning him to return home from work and play. Instead, Jack called up his better half Kyle Gass and they decided to write a song about how they don’t play video games.
In their classic comedic style the song pays homage to the “grown-ups” out there who think they no longer have time to play video games, but actually spend more time playing games than they think they do. Perhaps, as we get older, we don’t think of them as games anymore, but instead we think of them as “incredible journeys”.
