It's the coronapocalypse. How can you help?
The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is real. It's been declared a "national state of disaster" in South Africa, and despite what you've read on Facebook or Twitter, that's not some kind of hysterical overreaction. Paradoxically, it's also the same "hysterical overreaction" that we want to reminisce about in 2030, because it wasn't in fact a hysterical overreaction, but the necessary protocols to limit contagion that looks like a hysterical overreaction in retrospect, because the hysterical overreaction worked.
Because symptoms can take up to two weeks to start showing, you could be a coronavirus petri dish without even knowing it. And if you get sick with coronavirus, you could be okay - but your friends and family, not so much. People with medical issues like diabetes, HIV, TB, asthma, or other immune system-compromising conditions are much more susceptible to developing complications that you aren't.
